Installation, first run, backup behavior, restore safety, and support.
NinjaWeb

Install

Extract the portable ZIP to a normal folder and run NinjaWeb-AI-Backup-Explorer.cmd. Keep the launcher window open while using the app.

First Run

  • Set server host, user, remote root, and auth method.
  • Add Backup Sources. The same list is used for incremental snapshots and full backups.
  • Choose a safe restore target folder and retention counts.

Requirements

Windows with network access to your SFTP server. Node.js and WinSCP are bundled in the portable package.

Security

Server passwords are saved with Windows current-user protection. Backup encryption passwords are requested when needed and are not stored by default.

Restore Safety

Restores go to the configured restore target, not over the original source by default. Check the destination before moving files back.

Troubleshooting

  • Run Health Check if backup buttons are blocked.
  • Use Scan server & refresh to reload existing remote backups.
  • Use Clean leftovers only after stopping an active job.
